Linda Horto – Contemporary Abstract Artist in London
Inspiration & Intention
I am a self-taught contemporary abstract artist based in South West London, creating large, colourful acrylic paintings that unite fine art, wellness and design. My practice is intention-driven: each piece begins with meditation, where I connect to the message I wish to share. Using tai chi-inspired movements, circular brushstrokes, and layered compositions, I work in silence to let intuition guide the process.
Artistic Process
Painting has been my sanctuary since my early teens, a practice that brings joy, presence, and fulfilment. Over the years, I have woven together insights from science, yoga, tai chi, healthcare, and traditional Chinese medicine to create a unique process that integrates colour, energy, and symbolism. Drawing on Feng Shui principles, the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), and the Ba Gua, I select colours and forms that interact harmoniously, bringing balance and positive resonance to the spaces they inhabit.
Style & Medium
My work is semi-abstract, exploring energy, flow, and the dialogue between intention and creation. Large canvases allow me to move around and immerse myself in the rhythm of brushstrokes, building layered depth from concept to completion. Smaller works focus on subtler interactions of colour and movement, offering intimate experiences of harmony and calm.

Through original acrylic paintings, my aim is to bring healing, calm, and joy into homes, workplaces, and healthcare environments. Each artwork carries an uplifting intention, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and engage with the energy of colour, movement, and flow.
